Certainly not everyone had the chance to see the calculator for Barbarian in Diablo 3, which is on our forum. After the premiere it may be necessary. Superstate is it's author. Excel 2010 is required, but you can try to do the conversion on older versions.

Two important bits of information have just come through the pipeline that should be of interest to us all.
Firstly, you can install the electronic version of Diablo III on Monday 14th May at 4PM GMT (17:00 CET) which should give you sufficient time to prepare for the launch, during which time you may consider stocking up on some snacks and Red Bulls as well as set up a speed dial for your local pizza takeaway.

Secondly, the folks at Blizz have stated that they're currently working on a system to enable clan support. Whilst this piece of information relates to Starcraft 2's next expansion it should not be overlooked, as both games rely on Battle.net's 2.0 architecture. It's been long in the making, as I still remember people data mining Diablo II and finding data files relating to clan support which, sadly, was never to be. However, based on all the guild support experience gained through World of Warcraft, I hope the guys from Irvine won't make us wait too long ;)

Angrenost Realm invites you to the last mega battle!
"The last battle on Angrenost Realm starts 13th May, 20:00 CET. This time the fights will take place in an experimental system - 32 vs 32 on 1.11 realm! We look forward to a great massacre! Bashiok has provided some information about PvP on www.diablofans.com. The most important is:
"We're open to the idea of custom PvP matches, which would allow for duels in the arenas. There are a lot of decisions before we can get there, but on the design philosophy front we don't have anything against practice duels or other custom matches (1v4?), as long as they can't be used for progression. It'll just come down to implementation and what we're able to pull off in a timely manner.
While we're talking about PvP it's probably worth reminding everyone that what we're targeting is a very loose and 'for fun' system. Imagine clicking a button, being matched up against another team of equal skill and gear, and win or lose you move forward (although faster if you win) on a personal progression system that gives you some cosmetic recognition as you go. There won't be ladders or leagues, we have no intent to expose team ratings, and very likely nothing besides a win/loss record to track performance etc. etc. etc. Anyone who has tried it at BlizzCon knows the PvP in Diablo III is a blast, but I've seen some people start to get ideas that it's going to be an eSport, and that's just not something we're targeting - for the sake of our goals in the single player/co-op experience."
So there's a chance for random PvP Arena! Good for us.

This is a first of whole series of texts about the situation with the ‘Diablo 3’ clans. They will be published periodically, depending on activeness of the clan scene. First news will only contain information about polish clans (some of them have foreign members as well), because we haven't recieved any info regarding other countries clans' situation and their plans for upcoming Diablo 3 release (if your clan is coming back for D3, give us a tip!)
We should start from clans, which are coming back after years of absence on ‘Diablo’ scene with the forthcoming ‘Diablo 3’. ‘Najemnicy z Ognistej Twierdzy’ - “Mercenaries of the Fiery Fortress” clan had already come to our forums and launched their website: http://notklan.org. The same goes for such old-school clans like ZA - ‘Zakon Angrenost” - “Order of Angrenost” , BAD – ‘Black Angels of Death’ and TT – ‘Twierdza Templariuszy’ – “Templar Keep”. All of them, after years in stasis, are now ready to fight.
KoS – ‘Knights of Salvation’ ( http://kos.net.pl/ ) clan is also coming back, but as far as I know, they still were active in ‘Diablo 1’, so it’s hard to speak about hibernation.
After a long time we finally heard from MS - ‘Magic & Sword’, and soon they will be ready to rumble, just after they're done with regrouping on a new clan forum.
Clans not very active in the last years like: BL – ‘Banda Łobuzów’ – ‘”Band of Rascals”, GoTH - ‘Guardians of The Heavens’ or WM - ‘War Masters are also closing their ranks; WM already have a brand new clan page at http://www.war-masters.org.
Known from Angrenost Realm and pol-hc, the UTF - ‘United Tasks Forces is also prepared, same as HW - ‘Hell Warriors' with refreshed website for D3 at http://hellwarriors.com , but they are not excluding castlings due to some issues with part of old HW members.
Still living the AZM - ‘Servants of Azmodan’ ( http:/azmklan.org/ ) is also checking in on the launch of ‘Diablo 3’, together with the even older SoD - Soldiers of Doom ( http://sodklan.mdes.pl/ ); it’s worth mentioning at this point, that SoD is finally working together, because their faction WS - ‘Woda SoDowa’ – “Soda Water”, which was the only active part of the old SoD, decided to come back to the old name, bringing back all former members from both the WS and SoD.
Many clans known from the Polish Clan League and Angrenost Realm are also stating combat readiness: GoD - ‘Guardians of Darkness’, HC - Hell Coalition’, BD -‘Banda Drombo’ – “Drombo’s Band”, SoGT – ‘Slayers of the Great Trinity’ and last but not least, NF - ‘No Fear’.
Moreover, we are aware of the increased activity of clans connected with other private ‘Diablo 2’ realms in the old days like SG - ‘Saint Guards’, cRee –‘ cRazy eighty eight’ and WH - ‘Wind Hunters’( http://whclan.eu// ).

"Another blue commented on PvP, which we’ve been told will not be enabled upon launch, but will be added in at some later date. Most everyone who played the Arena demo at the last two Blizzcons loved it and can’t see any reason the devs don’t enable something much like the 2011 deathmatch demo, in the full game upon launch. As Blizzard hasn’t given any official explanation for the delay beyond a generic “more polishing,” there are two main fan theories:
1) Blizzard saw how much fans loved playing the Arena, realized the potential of the system, and they now want to launch it in a more balanced and polished form that they’ll gradually transition to an E-Sport.
2) Blizzard doesn’t think D3′s PvP is noob-friendly or accessible enough and wants to put in more “gold star just for trying” WoW-style achievements.
Neither theory gets any support from Zarhym’s nonspecific comments today, which could have been presented 6, 12, or 18 months ago without a single word being changed."
"We want PvP to be incredibly challenging and fun, but we want to avoid turning it into a truly competitive leagues/ladders eSport. We just don’t think Diablo gameplay is very conducive for that type of controlled environment where balance is paramount.
We want to develop PvP as an engaging and rewarding system. What we don’t want to do is take a traditional eSports approach to PvP, where balance will become so important to a competitive ranking system that solo and cooperative gameplay feel a bit neutered as a result.
We want your characters to feel totally imba. Then we want you to enter some Arenas, send the scorched remains of other players’ corpses flying, and let the satisfaction wash over you — until your opponents take similar care of your hero, that is."
